Volleyball Recap: Miami Trace Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fairfield Union on Saturday, Miami Trace came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Logan Elm Braves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Miami Trace was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

Lauren Guess paced Miami Trace's offense, picking up 12 kills. Guess got some help from Kylie Yeazel and her 21 assists. Yeazel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Miami Trace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Logan Elm, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Miami Trace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Hillsboro on the 26th. As for Logan Elm, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Westfall on the 21st.
