Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Unity Reed). Everything went their way against the Park View Patriots on Monday as they made off with a 24-11 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Jacob Hembree - SR was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was his first of the season. Alex Bonfadini - SR was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Unity Reed always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .775. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Unity Reed's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Park View, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Unity Reed will challenge Osbourn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Park View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodgrove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Wolverines have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
