Berkeley is a perfect 10-0 against Encinal since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will welcome the Jets at 6:45 p.m. Berkeley will be strutting in after a victory while Encinal will be coming in after a loss.

Berkeley will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Castro Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Trojans on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (94-91) Berkeley actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 26-24, 25-21, 26-24.

Encinal had taken Alameda down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Jets fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Encinal took Alameda into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 19-25, 18-25, 15-13.

Encinal now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Berkeley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Berkeley was able to grind out a solid win over Encinal when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
