Volleyball Recap: South Effingham Mustangs vs. St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings

South Effingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings.

Morgan Stringer paced South Effingham's offense, picking up nine kills. Stringer got some help from Leah Magana and her 22 assists.

St. Anne-Pacelli was led to victory by Anna Do and Allie Vickery. Do had 20 assists and two aces, while Vickery had 11 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Vickery a new career-high.

South Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

South Effingham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Westminster Christian Academy on the 9th. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Dacula on the 9th.
