Basketball Recap: Jaylah Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lockland over Clark Montessori

It was a proper cat-fight when Lockland faced off against Clark Montessori on Monday. The Lockland Panthers fell just short of the Clark Montessori Cougars by a score of 51-49. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Lockland lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaylah Smith, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten boards, and 11 blocks. Smith has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Princes Webster, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 18 points and three steals.
