Softball Recap: Traverse City West Comes Up Short

If Traverse City West was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Cadillac on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans lost 16-2 to the Richmond Blue Devils on Friday.

Traverse City West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Witkop, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Witkop has snagged this season.

Traverse City West has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Richmond, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traverse City West will head out to challenge Petoskey at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond, they will challenge North Branch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
