Softball Recap: Prestonsburg Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Prestonsburg finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 11-2 to the Floyd Central Jaguars. The Blackcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Prestonsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Candace Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

The defeat snapped Prestonsburg's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record. As for Floyd Central, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
