Chesnee won the last time they faced Liberty and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Red Devils. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chesnee pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesnee will take on Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty, they will face off against Blacksburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
