Volleyball Recap: Frederick Douglass Comes Up Short

Frederick Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette Generals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Frederick Douglass couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lafayette a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 30-28.

Frederick Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lafayette, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Frederick Douglass has already played their next game (against Sayre), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lafayette, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Collins on the 15th.
