Heritage waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They strolled past the Furtah Prep Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Mead, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Mead has become a key player for Heritage: the team is 17-3 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was MaKari Townsend, who went 6 for 11 en route to 17 points and six boards.

Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Furtah Prep, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 19-5.

Heritage will venture away from home to take on Rock Springs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rock Springs Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge. Furtah Prep has already played their next matchup, an 89-30 win against Atlanta Jewish Academy on the 6th.
