Basketball Game Preview: Prosser Mustangs vs. Grandview Greyhounds

The Prosser Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Grandview Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Prosser's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.

Last Friday, Prosser got the win against Toppenish by a conclusive 82-58. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grandview waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 68-48 victory. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Prosser is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.9 points over those games. As for Grandview, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Prosser came up short against Grandview in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 74-68. Can Prosser avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
