With a playoff win on the line, Little Village rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Phoenix Military Firebirds 95-33. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 24 points or more this season.

Little Village's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Pablo Rodriguez led the charge by shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Resendez, who went 7 for 9 en route to 18 points along with five boards and five steals.

Little Village pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.1 points. As for Phoenix Military, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Coincidentally, Little Village and Phoenix Military will both be playing Uplift the next time they take the court. Little Village will head out to face Uplift at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Phoenix Military will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th.
