Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-10. They took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyline Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Raiders are ranked 213th).

As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. That looming 62-50 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Jaiden Holland had a dynamite game, going 7-for-12 en route to 19 points and six steals. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Reddick, who posted nine points and five boards.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-49 win against Arlington on the 30th. As for Skyline, they have also already played their next game, a 75-48 victory against Arlington Heights on the 30th.
