Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grand Lake can now relate to. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delhi Bears on Friday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dustin D Ykes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Delhi, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave D Ykes a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jatavis Hester, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Grand Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 15-18-1. As for Delhi, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season.

Grand Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delhi, they will take on Arcadia on Tuesday. Delhi has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three games.
