Basketball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer lost against Huron back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneer Pioneers took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huron River Rats. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the River Rats are ranked 18th).

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Huron, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pioneer will host Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Huron, they will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
