Basketball Recap: Providence Christian Academy's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Providence Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 53-27 takedown of West Nottingham last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Providence Christian Academy Griffins received a blow on Friday as they fell 79-62 to the Tome Titans. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Providence Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bryce Unruh, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten steals. Unruh is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season. Peyton Riess was another key player, putting up five points.

Providence Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Tome, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Christian Academy and Aquinas Academy will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday. As for Tome, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
