Baseball Recap: Tivy's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for Tivy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Alamo Heights Mules on Saturday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Antlers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Tivy got a massive performance out of Dom Vasquez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Vasquez a new career-high. Guy Flores was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Tivy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory snapped Tivy's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-19 record. As for Alamo Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18-1.

As of now, neither Tivy nor the Mules have any future games scheduled.
