Central Gwinnett's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Mountain View Bears 47-17. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-3.

Christian Peal went supernova, rushing for 132 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. Those 132 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jaren Joseph also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Gwinnett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Central Gwinnett didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Corneil Mills.

Mountain View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deion Saunders, who picked up 150 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory got Central Gwinnett back to even at 3-3. As for Mountain View, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Central Gwinnett wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 75-0 loss against Buford on the 17th. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-24 defeat against Dacula on the 17th.
