Baseball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Comes Up Short

Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Columbus Academy Vikings, falling 23-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Friday.

Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Columbus Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whitehall-Yearling will take on rival Franklin Heights at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Columbus Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Bexley at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
