Soccer Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

If Sycamore was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Rochelle on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans lost 5-0 to the Hononegah Indians on Saturday. Sycamore haven't had much luck with Hononegah recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2-1. As for Hononegah, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Sycamore didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against LaSalle-Peru on the 28th. As for Hononegah, they will challenge Freeport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
