Softball Recap: Thatcher Eagles vs. Rio Rico Hawks

It was a Battle of the Birds when Thatcher duked it out with Rio Rico on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 13-6 to the Hawks. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kacee McCluskey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaylee Hughes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Thatcher's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Rio Rico, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.
