Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Jefferson Academy was the 3-1 winner over The Academy when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Wildcats on Wednesday. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Jefferson Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 30-28, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Jefferson Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tailey Sengdara had 11 digs and two aces. Hailey Totems also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Jefferson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for The Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Jefferson Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Colorado Academy on the 27th. As for The Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 24th.
