Football Game Preview: Fort Recovery Indians vs. Eastern Eagles

The Fort Recovery Indians will head out to face off against the Eastern Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Fort Recovery is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Cincinnati College Prep Academy 34-8. The Indians pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Fort Recovery didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Breaker Jutte, Ian McCain, Anthony Roessner, and Reece Wendel picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Eastern put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Green 56-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 34 points or more this season.

Fort Recovery better keep an eye on Jack Montgomery. He was instrumental in Eastern's win, rushing for 104 yards and two TDs. Montgomery didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made one tackle. Eric Manley Jr. was another key player, throwing for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Fort Recovery, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
