Volleyball Recap: Proviso West Takes a Loss

Proviso West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timothy Christian Trojans. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-13 in the first set.

Proviso West actually scored more points across those three sets (59-54), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-20, 16-14.

Proviso West now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Timothy Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Proviso West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Oak Lawn on the 19th. As for Timothy Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Ridgewood on the 19th.
