Baseball Game Preview: Bandera BULLDOGS vs. Davenport Wolves

For the second straight game, Bandera will face off against Davenport. The BULLDOGS will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bandera has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Davenport will arrive with three straight victories.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Bandera had to take the L. They lost 10-1 to Davenport on Tuesday.

For Davenport's part, Travis Kost was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Kost has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Davenport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Davenport's win bumped their record up to 15-3-2. As for Bandera, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1.
