Liberty proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 31) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Davenport Gorillas 50-47. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Gorillas back in January, they had to take a 45-39 defeat.

Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Davenport and nudges their season record down to 19-5.

Looking ahead, Liberty won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Colfax at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
