Basketball Recap: South Knox Comes Up Short

South Knox suffered their biggest loss since February 1st on Friday. They came up short against the Gibson Southern Titans, falling 58-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Titans are ranked 86th).

South Knox is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Gibson Southern, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

South Knox will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Gibson Southern, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Princeton at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Gibson Southern's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
