Chaparral and Deming are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Chaparral Lobos are taking a road trip to challenge the Deming Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Chaparral ended up a good deal behind Silver and lost 70-56.

Deming got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over Santa Teresa on Tuesday.

Deming picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-20. As for Chaparral, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-15.

Chaparral was able to grind out a solid victory over Deming in their previous matchup last Tuesday, winning 48-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chaparral since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
