Preview: Century Centurions vs. Western Pioneers
Century is 2-7 against Western since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Century Centurions will look to defend their home court against the Western Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Century is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Last Monday, Century was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Magnolia. Century has struggled against Magnolia recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Santa Ana Valley scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, Western still came out on top. Western narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Santa Ana Valley 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Western has posted yet this season.
Century has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Western, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
