Baseball Game Preview: Norwich Purple Tornado vs. Sidney Team

The Norwich Purple Tornado will square off against the Sidney Team at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Norwich is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 19-3 to Waverly.

Norwich saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Brown, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sidney owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against Harpursville by a score of 4-0.

Quinton Beckwith made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over 6.2 innings pitched. Beckwith was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory got Sidney back to even at 1-1. As for Norwich, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
