Soccer Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Manual was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lincoln Lancers, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Manual of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Jayda Martinez, who's now up to two this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Manual and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1. As for Lincoln, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Manual will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd. Manual will be up against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.25 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Denver West on the 1st.
