League recap: Pennridge extends winning streak with victory over Central Bucks East

Pennridge extended the longest winning streak in Suburban One - Continental this week by beating Central Bucks East, 34-24. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

The Patriots made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,104 from 5,368. The advance stemmed from a 34-24 victory over Central Bucks East last week.

Kyle Bigam was the best wideout in the league this week as Pennridge defeated John Donnelly's team. Bigam racked up four receptions for 138 yards. Micah Stutzman helped Pennridge's passing attack out by catching two balls for 21 yards.

Jon Pileggi put up the best numbers through the air as Central Bucks South bested Quakertown. He finished with 13 completions for 205 yards and four touchdowns. Pileggi's favorite target this week was Steve Veal, who caught six passes for 112 yards.

Cody Riemenschneider provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Central Bucks West fell to North Penn. He completed 25 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 30 yards. Riemenschneider's favorite target this week was Mark Ciaudelli, who caught 12 passes for 118 yards.

Vince Thompson Jr. was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 177 yards as the Patriots beat the Patriots. Pete Donovan also contributed to the rushing game with 50 yards on the ground.

The Titans' Pileggi and Cale Mosher have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Suburban One - Continental in both passing and receiving yards. Pileggi has thrown for 1672 yards this season, while Mosher has 33 catches for 527 yards. Mike Class from the Rams leads the league in rushing with 1712 yards.

Sherrod Higginbotham of the the Bucks is only 43 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 130 carries Higginbotham has accumulated 957 yard this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Central Bucks West takes on Dave Rackovan's team. At the moment, Brian Hensel's team is in fifth, while the Titans are in second.

The Knights led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on the Bucks.
