Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rancho Verde). Everything went their way against the JW North Huskies on Thursday as the Rancho Verde Mustangs made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs better thank their lucky stars for the performance of MIA Zuniga, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Rancho Verde's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-3 and their overall record up to 5-6-4. As for JW North, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-2.

Rancho Verde will venture away from home to take on Woodcrest Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for JW North, they and Orange Vista will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. JW North's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
