Softball Recap: New Heights Christian Academy Takes a Loss

New Heights Christian Academy's last matchup with Jasper could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Cougars lost 22-9 to the Eagles. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

New Heights Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LILY MOORE, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. KALLIE SPENCER also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

New Heights Christian Academy's record is now 0-6. As for Jasper, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Heights Christian Academy will welcome Verona at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jasper, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Rich Hill at 4:30 p.m.
