Baseball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown lost against North Reading back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Royals fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 4-3.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Reading, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Georgetown is taking a road trip to take on Newburyport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Clippers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for North Reading, they will be playing at home against Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 3.4, the Generals 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
