Softball Game Preview: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. Alvin Yellowjackets

Shadow Creek is 1-8 against Alvin since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Shadow Creek Sharks will host the Alvin Yellowjackets at 12:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Shadow Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Sam Rayburn 22-3 on Saturday. The Sharks have beaten the Texans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Texans has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Alvin got themselves on the board against Pasadena Memorial on Saturday, but Pasadena Memorial never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 11-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Alvin's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.5 runs. As for Shadow Creek, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
