Baseball Recap: Stratford Triumphs

Stratford got themselves on the board against Bunnell on Saturday, but Bunnell never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The win got Stratford back to even at 2-2-1. As for Bunnell, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Coming up, Stratford will square off against New Milford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bunnell, they will face off against Kolbe-Cathedral at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
