Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Central Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Central suffered their closest loss since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Walled Lake Northern Knights by a score of 35-32. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Knights are ranked 278th).

Walled Lake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Walled Lake Northern, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walled Lake Central will host South Lyon East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lyon East will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Walled Lake Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will be playing at home against Arbor Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
