Soccer Game Preview: Stratford vs. Sumter

The Stratford Knights will take on the Sumter Gamecocks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Stratford is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Philip Simmons just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Iron Horses by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Sumter's offense. They lost 5-0 to Blythewood on Friday. Sumter have struggled against Blythewood recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Sumter now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Stratford, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
