Football Recap: Vineland Falls to Delsea in First Game of Season

Vineland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Delsea Crusaders and fell 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Clan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 24th).

Milo Gebhard had a dynamite game For Delsea., rushing for 46 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 54 yards and one touchdown. Those 46 rushing yards gave Gebhard a new career-high.

Vineland has already played their next matchup (against Atlantic County Institute of Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Delsea, they will host Woodstown at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
