Flag Football Recap: Roybal Takes a Loss

Roybal fell victim to Eagle Rock and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 60-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Eagles are ranked 20th).

It was another big night for Nylah Moore, who threw for 146 yards and six touchdowns while completing 90.5% of her passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and one TD for Eagle Rock. That's the most passing touchdowns Moore has posted since back in September. Another big playmaker for Eagle Rock was Kyla Siao, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Roybal has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Eagle Rock, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Roybal will head out to challenge Los Angeles CES at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagle Rock, they will challenge Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 4.5, the Panthers 10.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
