Softball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 back in March.

St. Anthony saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabel Moreno, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Chloe Lopez was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

St. Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Saint Mary's Hall, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. St. Anthony is set to face off against their familiar foe San Antonio Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Saint Mary's Hall will take on rival Providence Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
