Soccer Recap: East Rutherford Comes Up Short

East Rutherford lost against Hendersonville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cavaliers lost 5-0 to the Bearcats. While losing is never fun, East Rutherford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Hendersonville are ranked 89th).

East Rutherford has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season. As for Hendersonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Rutherford will take on R-S Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hendersonville, they will square off against A.C. Reynolds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendersonville's defense better be ready for this one: A.C. Reynolds have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season.
