Softball Recap: Frontier Wins Going Away Against Beallsville

Frontier never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Beallsville Blue Devils with a sharp 14-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mikayla Bennett made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kenzie Livingston was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and four runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Alexis Livingston was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Frontier's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Beallsville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beallsville, they will take on Catholic Central in a tournament on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
