Volleyball Recap: Vail Christian Comes Up Short

Vail Christian lost against D'Evelyn back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Vail Christian lost 3-0 to D'Evelyn. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Saints have suffered since April 13, 2024.

While Vail Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into D'Evelyn's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16, 25-21.

Ian Salyer paced Vail Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Salyer got some help from Daniel Parez and his 16 assists. Finally, Max Litviakov kept Vail Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Vail Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for D'Evelyn, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Vail Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Aurora West College Prep Academy on the 28th. As for D'Evelyn, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on the 28th.
