Soccer Recap: Broughton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Broughton and Laney squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Broughton had to settle for second. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers. If Broughton were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Laney when the teams met back in November of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Broughton moved to 17-3-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Laney, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-4-2.

Broughton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laney, they will take on Hoggard on Thursday. Laney's defense better be ready for this one: Hoggard have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season.
