Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-69 win over the Armijo Royals on Friday.

Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isreal Legree, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Dantes, who earned 15 points.

Valley's victory ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Armijo, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Valley has already played their next game, a 68-41 defeat against West Campus on the 22nd. As for Armijo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-39 loss against Vintage on the 20th.
