Baseball Recap: Quincy Takes a Loss

If Quincy was riding high fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Modoc on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Quincy Trojans came up short against the Modoc Braves on Saturday, falling 15-7. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Jake Thackeray was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Anthony Warndorf, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Modoc, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Quincy has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Loyalton on the 6th. As for Modoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Tulelake on the 6th.
