Softball Recap: Albemarle Takes a Loss

Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gray Stone Day Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Gray Stone Day, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-9.

Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gray Stone Day, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-6 victory against South Davidson on the 21st.
