St. Johnsbury Academy kept up with Champlain Valley Union until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Redhawks' defense stepped up to hand the Hilltoppers a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Champlain Valley Union, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Champlain Valley Union's victory bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Looking ahead, Champlain Valley Union will venture away from home to challenge Mt. Mansfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mt.
